Blessed Michael McGivney depicts Father Michael J. McGivney, founder of the Knights of Columbus and a central figure in the development of Catholic life in America. Serving as a parish priest in New Haven, Connecticut, he worked closely with Irish immigrant and working-class Catholic families during a period of significant social and economic hardship. As the eldest of thirteen children, McGivney had worked in a factory from a young age and experienced firsthand the vulnerability of families dependent on dangerous industrial labor, context that directly shaped the founding of the Knights of Columbus.
