Limited Edition of 1500
Reaching for the Stars is a commemorative limited edition canvas giclée created to honor the expansion of the U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame in 1997. During the ceremony, Apollo-era astronauts gathered to induct new members; an event hosted by Walter Cronkite, and personally countersign this edition.
This historical piece features signatures from pioneering NASA astronauts, including Buzz Aldrin, Alan Bean, John Glenn, James Lovell, Alan Shepard, and other Mercury, Gemini, Apollo, Skylab, and Apollo-Soyuz crew members.
Originally designed for the Hall of Fame rotunda, the work reflects the legacy of lunar exploration and includes Alan Bean’s authentic “moon prints,” core-tube markings, and tool impressions. Produced with museum-quality techniques over five months, this textured canvas faithfully recreates the look and feel of the original painting.
