Robert “Shoofly” Shufelt is an American cowboy artist recognized for his finely detailed pencil work depicting contemporary Western life. Trained at the Art Institute of Chicago and the University of Illinois, he later settled in Arizona, where the working cowboy became the central focus of his art. Shufelt’s work has received numerous honors and has been shown in major museums throughout the Southwest.
