Gordon Setter An Original Oil Painting by Terry Waldron
Image 30” x 30” Painted on Cradeled Art Panel
Gordon Setters are originally from Scotland and England, where they appeared in the early 1600s. They were bred to hunt game birds, and they were praised for their reliability.
Gordon Setters were originally called black-and-tan setters, but their name was changed to Gordon Setter after the fourth Duke of Gordon, who played a major role in developing the modern breed.
